Joshua Oyeniyi wins Global Student Entrepreneur Awards

27 years old Joshua Oyeniyi has attributed his 2015 Global Student Entrepreneur Awards to God favour and grace.

Joshua Oyeniyi is a  media entrepreneur and host of The Ambassadors Radio Show on UNILAG FM. He is  first and only son of a family of six and studied mathematics at the University of Lagos.

He added that he owes his success in the contest to distinguished Nigerians like Prof. Pat Utomi, Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and the Chief Executive Officer of Executive Trainers, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, who encouraged me during my encounters with them before the competition.

The Global Student Entrepreneur Award is a world’s premier award given to full-time high school, undergraduates or post-graduate students, who run a business enterprise, and also are positively influencing their communities. The contest is held annually in over 42 countries globally. Over 2,000 people took part in the 2015 contest with over 300 young entrepreneurs featuring in the Nigerian edition in March this year. The national winner is entitled to an all-expense paid trip to the global finals in Washington DC, US. However, the GSEA contest is an outreach arm of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation; a network of over 10,000 entrepreneurs from around the world with a combined annual turnover of more than $500bn.

The Nigerian board of the Entrepreneurs Organisation is chaired by Mr. Vincent Molokwu, while Mr. Olurotimi Martins and Anthony Okoye serve as presidents of the Abuja and Lagos chapters respectively.
